TAE KWON DO
Tae Kwon Do is the most widely practiced martial art in the world. Tae Kwon Do emphasizes on the perfection of the basics of martial arts and focuses on the development of distinctively superior kicking techniques.
As a result of the uniqueness of its kicking techniques, Tae Kwon Do officially became an Olympic sport in the year 2000. Tae Kwon Do
techniques use powerful kicking and skilled leg movements to overcome one or more opponents. Thus, Tae Kwon Do became one of the few marital arts that combine the sports and martial arts training.
HAP KI DO
At Champion Tae Kwon Do Academy, we teach Hap Ki Do as our practical self- defense. Unlike Tae Kwon Do, which concentrates on the kicking techniques and martial art's basics, Hap Ki Do emphasizes on the practicality of the technique. Hap Ki Do is almost exclusive for self defense using circular movements, pressure points, joint locks, grappling, and throwing techniques. Hap Ki Do also focuses on the moral development of its practitioners by teaching self-control in stressful situations, self- confidence, and respect for others.
